Our Story

With a push for kingdom living, God has been doing miraculous things in the life of the Valley Fellowship Church and its surrounding community.  Under the leadership of our Pastors, Kurt and Andrea King, God is doing a new thing.  Valley Fellowship has a vibrant outreach and community program.  Valley Fellowship recently hosted a Back to School Carnival that served hundreds of people in the community, equipping young people with backpacks and school supplies, in partnership with First Five San Bernardino.  We have a hot meal program that serves the homeless and the disadvantaged.  We also have a Food Pantry and a Clothes Closet that partners with battered women’s shelters to provide slightly used clothing for families.

In addition to other vibrant ministries and programs at Valley Fellowship, this year we hosted a Summer Bible Conference and Bible Explosion, which helped to bring almost 40 souls to Christ.  Also, Pastor Delroy Brooks, our youth and young adult pastor, hosts an online Bible study that reaches people across the nation.

Valley Fellowship has been blessed to have great leadership over the years.  Prior to the Kings coming, Pastor Robert Edwards served at Valley Fellowship and was responsible for renovating the church sanctuary.  Others like Clyde Cassimy, Loren Hodnett, Eric Penick and David Taylor helped to build up the ministry of Valley Fellowship, also.

In 1988, Elder James Doggette was invited to pastor the church. Under his strong leadership, Valley Fellowship’s membership increased twofold. Each week the church was stretched beyond its legal and physical capacity with people thirsting to hear the Word of God.  Pastor Doggette, through the providence and help of the Lord, moved them to their current location on Grove Ave.

Under the leadership of Dr. George M. King, Valley has paid in full its mortgage. His unusual human kindness and understanding of people strongly endeared him to the congregation. Under Pastor Jackson Doggette’s visionary leadership, our very own school, the Valley Fellowship Christian Resource Center was started in 1996.   Pastors like Timothy Nixon, Richard Hodnett, Brian Neal, Horace Barker, and Gary Stanhiser were used mightily by God in this vineyard.  And we anxiously watch to see what God will continue to do through each of us.
